The San Jose Redevelopment Agency along with the City of San Jose offers a wide variety of incentives to assist companies located in Downtown San Jose.

Enterprise Zone

The San Jose Enterprise Zone Program is administered by the San Jose Redevelopment Agency. The Enterprise Zone Program, established by the State of California, is designed to encourage business investment and create job opportunities by providing various tax credits and deductions to businesses in areas in need of economic development. Special Tenant Improvement Program

The Special Tenant Improvement Program (STI) is administered by the City of San Jose's Planning, Building and Code Enforcement Department. The STI Program provides expedited plan review and inspection for office uses in Downtown San Jose. For more information click here.

Industrial Tool Installation Program

The Industrial Tool Installation Program (ITI) is administered by the City of San Jose's Planning, Building and Code Enforcement Department. The ITI Program assists local companies by stortening tool installation to production cycle time through an improved plan review and inspection process.

Parking Incentive Program

The Parking Incentive Program is administered by the Redevelopment Agency and the Department of Transportation. The program provides discounted parking rates for eligible companies at select city owned parking garages. Facade Improvement Program

The Facade Improvement Program (FIP) is administered by the Redevelopment Agency. The program provides financial assistance to eligible property owners to improve commercial buildings through exterior improvements, including paint, windows, doors, awnings and landscaping. Exterior facade improvements can increase business exposure and pedestrian traffic. Signage Grant Program

The Signage Grant Program is administered by the Redevelopment Agency. The program provides financial assistance to eligible commercial businesses to install new signage or upgrade existing signage in order to create a positive commercial environment in Downtown San Jose.
